The intricate pattern on this hand-dyed bandana is created using a 700-year-old batik technique, passed down through generations of artisans in Indonesia. Each piece starts as soft white cotton, then is hand-stamped with molten wax, dyed, and sun-baked to set the pattern.

Kawung Hitam—sometimes called the Black Horn Beetle or Black Palm Tree pattern—is striking and grounded, steeped in traditional symbolism. The cotton is light and breathable, with a texture closer to classic bandana fabric than our original thicker weave—still 100% cotton, just a different feel.
