Hand Dyed Batik Bandana - Cherish Red
Hand Dyed Batik Bandana - Cherish Red
This bandana begins as white cotton, then transforms—layer by layer—through the hands of Javanese artisans using a centuries-old batik method. Hot wax is applied with carved copper stamps to resist dye, then the fabric is dipped, dried, and re-dyed multiple times to build a soft, dimensional pattern. Finally, the cloth is sun-baked to set the colors.
The result is Cherish Red—a moody, multi-tonal batik that feels both grounded and ethereal. No two are exactly alike.
